WifNet

Privacy policy

What WifNet collects, what it deliberately does not: no tracking cookies, no accounts, no ad network. How email and server logs are handled.

WifNet is a static website. There is no account system, no comment section and no advertising network on these pages.

What we collect

Server logs. Like every web server, ours records the IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs are used for security and for understanding which pages are useful, and are not combined with any other data.

Email. If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply and, if relevant, correct an article. We do not add addresses to a mailing list without an explicit request.

No cookies for tracking. The only thing stored in your browser is a preference for light or dark mode, kept in local storage on your own device. It is never sent to us.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or share personal data.
  • We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.
  • We do not require an email address to read anything.

Analytics

If analytics are added in future, this page will say which tool is used and what it records, before it goes live. Any tool that sets advertising cookies will not be used.

Your rights

Email hello@wifnet.com to ask what we hold about you (almost always just an email thread) or to have it deleted.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "updated" date on this page.
